Nowadays great importance is being given to aspects of eco friendly environment, going green in whatever way possible. All the possible efforts are being made for improving the environment. Various sources of energy are being conserved so as to avoid depletion and alternatives to the regular source of energy are also being explored.
One of such alternative sources of energy is the solar energy. The solar panels use silicon to generate electricity. When the sun’s radiation fall on the silicon coated panels, they generate electricity. This electricity can be used for domestic purposes such as heating, lighting, for domestic appliances etc. Since the carbon emission from solar energy is less, it is considered eco-friendly. Using solar energy helps in reducing your energy bills drastically. Moreover, this source is a permanent one. It will not become scarce in the near future.
Similarly, the use of underground heat pumps is another alternative source of energy for heating and lighting. The underground temperature usually remains constant throughout the year. So this heating source can be extracted and used as energy for heating.
In this technology, pipes are laid under the ground so as to extract the heat. The pumps use reverse refrigeration process for increasing the output temperature so as to make it sufficient for household purpose.
This source of energy minimizes the carbon dioxide emissions to a great extent. You can also increase your savings on your heating bill.
One more alternative source of heating is the use of Biomass boilers. These boilers use organic fuel which contributes to reducing the carbon emissions and saving the environment from being polluted.
The biomass boilers use wood pallets for fuel. The wood pallets are nothing but saw dust which when compressed become dry giving a high output to weight ratio. This in turn, increases the burning performance to the maximum extent and reduces the residue formation.
Hence, it is possible to use eco friendly sources of energy and also save your hard earned bucks spent on energy bills.
