Do you know you can recycle your e-waste instead of dumping them?

Every step should be taken to make our environment safe and healthy. It is not only the garbage and other wastes that can be recycled for saving our environment but also the e-waste.

This is the computer age. Most of the work is done by computers. There is not a single arena where computers are not being used. Naturally the degraded computer components and wastes get collected. They are called e-waste.

There are certain companies which recycle these e-wastes and make their valuable contribution for saving our planet. They collect the e-waste themselves and also by the tie-ups with the national logistic companies. They deploy sophisticated technology for recycling the electronic and electrical waste.

It involves the process of manual and mechanical dismantling of the various components, segregation, size reduction, dust collection and finally disposing the hazardous waste and other useful metal bearing components for further refining. The concept is to safeguard the environment and ensure zero landfill.

Recycling Process of E-wastes

  • The various e-waste materials from various clients are collected.
  • They are weighed and various parts are segregated enabling easy retrieval.
  • Then the qualified technicians check the working condition of the various components.
  • The components in the working condition or near working condition are repaired so that they can be marketed again.
  • The residual parts are shredded.
  • All the ferrous components are segregated by a magnetic band.
  • The other metals are physically removed by the employees who take all the safety precautions.
  • Precious metals like gold, silver which are found in the computer components are not shredded. They are segregated separately.
  • These metals of high purity are sold to the smelters.
  • All the hazardous wastes that cannot be recycled are sent for hazardous waste treatment.
  • They are finally disposed in compliance with the norms of the Pollution Board.
