Heating-High Combustion Efficiency

Fuel efficiency is the efficiency of a method which converts chemical potential energy within the fuel into kinetic energy.
When any fuel is burned to attain heat energy it is known as heat of combustion. There are two types of heat of combustion for any type of fuel. One is the high heat of combustion and other is low heat of combustion. In combustion process, if water in the exhaust is in liquid form, then high heat of combustion is obtained. In low heat of combustion, all water in the exhaust is in the vapor form.
There are definite savings with improved combustion efficiency. One can get the profit from high efficiency equipment and modern designs that efficiently change energy in the fuel to heat. The more efficient the conversion the lesser is amount of fuel required.
Fuel efficiency depends on the fuel which is used to drive the vehicle. Diesel engines attain greater fuel efficiency than petrol engines because diesel engines have energy efficiency of 20-50% whereas petrol engines of 30%. Hybrid vehicles conserve petrol and so they are more efficient than conventional vehicles.
Several points to remember for efficiency of combustion:
• Conventional wood burning being less efficient combustions pollutes the environment so go for other option like a gas. A fossil fueled heating system is more efficient than burning wood.
• Using natural gas means going green. Natural gas produces a relatively clean air.
• High-efficiency combustion reduces pollutants and eliminates heat loss.
• Use a high-efficiency pellet stove that burns small cylinders made from compressed sawdust and produces less pollutant than wood and are more efficient than conventional wood burning stove.
• Installs the properly sized stove for your home which will burn fuel more efficiently.
• Using a unit that draws combustion air from outside proves to be a high-efficiency unit.
• Fortunately for the environment, high-efficiency combustion is more environmentally friendly. High-efficiency models convert a higher percentage of fuel to heat, which in turn creates less exhaust (or smoke) that is released into the atmosphere.
