It’s not everyday that there’s exciting news to share, but today’s one of those days! I will now be the resident expert blogger for Simon and Schuster’s The Little Green Blog. The Little Green Blog accompanies Simon & Schuster’s new line called Little Green Books, which aims get little ones excited about going green. Each book is made from environmentally friendly and recycled materials. The books will cover topics from recycling and replanting to creating an awareness of endangered animals.
The Little Green Blog will give young readers, parents and educators an opportunity to take their quest to go green even further. Readers will be able to ask questions to me, the resident expert, as well as submit their own ideas in an online show and tell. There will also be ideas for “exploring your world”, that will inspire kids to build a strong bond with the natural world. A favorite of students and teachers will be the posts on “Green Heros” where they can read short biographies of notable environmentalists, ecologists, artists, or activists who have done great deeds for the Earth. And of course, there will be lots of helpful green tips for kids of all ages.
The Green Guide for Kids will continue as usual, but now you’ll have two places to discover ways to go green!
