Organic food benefits to your health

Nowadays, health is the major concern in anyone’s life, it is becoming an obsession for many people to the point that they’ll do whatever it takes to stay healthy. As you know, “People Are What They Eat”, that’s why food is the primary cause of most health issues. If you eat unhealthy food, then don’t expect your body to function well. For many people, the solution of this is “Organic Food”.

With the growing demand of food, companies had to act rapidly to satisfy this need by using whatever it takes from chemicals to antibiotics to amplify the food production. Unluckily, with the increasing resistance that bacteria and insects have developed against most pesticides, farmers had to take it to the next level by increasing concentration and using even more powerful pesticides that may harm humans. Now, you can’t eat an orange that doesn’t have at least 15 pesticides in it, and not just that! Meat also has more impact on human health, because most cattle raisers use chemicals, hormones and antibiotics to increase the size of their cows so they satisfy this demand. BUT guess where these chemicals go to “To Your Cells”!

The solution of all this is organic food. Although, there isn’t much strong scientific proofs that organic food is better and healthier then conventional food, many people think it is. According to many researchers who have done tests on many food items such as: milk, apples, oranges, tomatoes, the organic version of it is proven to be healthier than the non organic one. 1-      More nutrients: many tests have shown that organic food has more nutrients then inorganic. The reason for this is that conventional food contains very much less nutrients then it was decades ago, this is a result of using chemicals to increase the quality of products “al least that’s what they say”!, also many products have to go through a lot or processes before they’re presented in stores, this will cause them to loose most of their nutritional values.

2-      Health issues reduction: there is an extensive going research about if organic food reduces health issues or not, but one thing is sure, as most pesticides are proven to cause cancer, organic food will prevent us from developing it along with many other diseases caused by these chemicals. If we’re talking about meat, organic meat is free of antibiotics which are proven in conventional food to lead to the appearance of antibiotic resistant bacteria.

3-      Better environment: if you think of how organic food is going to save our environment, then the simple answer is that it doesn’t use intrusive chemicals which could affect the soil and water. Also, as we are part of our nature, living healthier is going to enhance the quality of our ecosystem.

4-      It tastes great: there is a misconception about organic food out there; many people think that if it has all these benefits, then it must really taste horrible (like medication!). This is not true, because it is the conventional food that tastes horrible, because it looks great from the outside but when you eat it, you feel like you’re eating pesticides. Also, many taste tests and studies have shown that organic food tastes better even after a long period of storage.
